Elder abuse often linked to loneliness and isolation: Age Concern Nelson Tasman

Review:  Today Cherie Sivignon writes in Stuff about elder abuse and its relation to loneliness and isolation. According to Age Concern Nelson Marlborough, a common denominator in many elder abuse cases is loneliness and social isolation. 

If loneliness is reduced, manager Caroline Budge said, “you reduce the vulnerability and you reduce the chances of abuse”.
